My Commitment

Peace is something that most of us humans strive for. For my short-term peace commitment, I will try to lead by example to my peers on how to keep your cool in hostile situations that call for peaceful solutions. Being a leader, I know if I act peacefully to the situation, that others may follow. For my long-term commitment, I plan to try and stay on this path of leading others by setting a peaceful example. What better to do for peace this using yourself as an outlet for it.

Inner Peace

Peace is the one thing all people "say" they want. I believe to have inner peace, you must come to love yourself and respect yourself for who you are, and what your about. Becoming true and comfortable in your own skin is one of the first steps for inner peace. Sometimes you might experience this inner place at certain times or places. When I myself experience my inner peace the most when I'm on the basketball court,(even though the game is like war to a certain extent) It feels as if I'm at one with everything and all is good.

Co-op

John M. Bohannon May 4, 2011 English Opinion Piece     The incident that made headlines and will change the world forever is the death of Osama Bin Laden, the evil that has spread to destructed America and made world peace impossible to manage. He was the most wanted and is behind the biggest conspiracy act of terrorism. After the United States was ambushed on 9/11 Bush stated “wanted, dead or alive,” it did not happen until today. Will this event end all terrorism and create world peace? No, not by a long shot. This will perhaps create a domino affect and start a fury of terrorist acts to come. One man alone is the element that has caused the biggest chaos among worlds nations. With the international power of “Al Qaeda” across the world, triumphs terror with it’s strength in numbers.  The challenge America posed in coordinating this high risk operation the biggest manhunt to bring in Osama Bin Laden to stop the war in the Middle East. So that others could get a glimpse of the reality and what Al Qaeda is possible of, the attack on the World Trade Center occurred on September 11, 2001. The thought of the newest President of the United States Obama trying to gain support across the nation and respect across the world by killing Osama Bin Laden has circulated.  Republicans are asking about the birth documents of the President, which recently had been shared to the media. Yet, they are still under scrutiny to be authentic. His acceptance at Harvard and scholarly stay are under investigation today. We wonder did President  Obama exercise this manhunt to kill Osama Bin Laden for political gain to try to win up coming presidential elections to block the Republican party from gaining power once again? Or to truly stop the war and create world peace, and win popularity with other allies around the world. These event is definitely questionable. Yes,  we are very happy that finally Osama Bin Laden is dead. This was a positive victory for everyone at a global level. This will stop chaos in the Middle East and temporarily let the United States try to stabilize it’s super nation status around the world.  As the media portrays global praise to President Obama for finally killing Osama Bin Laden and to stop the evil he has spread  by shedding blood and killing lives around the world. Here and even in other parts of the world we are at risk for the killing of the leader of Al Qaeda, Osama Bin Laden. What affects might ripple through out the world? Did he leave any plans for mass destruction if he was to be killed? Is there a plan of action that will take place? Some where, especially here in the United States. The United States is responsible for initiating the manhunt and finally ending Osama Bin Laden’s life after all. Should the United States take precautions in this state of panic? Yes, we are in a position that the worst could still happen. The United States should be prepared for a crisis that might occur within any moments.    The Dallas Morning News
